It’s not an apology,

It’s not an excuse,

It’s not about being wrong,

It’s about not doing the right thing,

It’s about the paths we choose,

It’s about our actions,

It’s about the choices and the decisions,

It’s not about the result,

It’s not about truth,

But it’s about the lies said to conceal the truth,

It’s about realization,

It’s about the smile,

And it’s about the tears,

It’s about me, for me,

And I know I got red in my ledger,

And it nowhere near being cleansed,

For all I know, red is all I got.
