To Infinity And Beyond

A lot has changed and so have you,
Our journey has moved on, and time has changed gears,
It’s all so different now, so special yet so indifferent,
We are the same, but we are different as well,
We're walking the same road, just that it’s clear ahead,
It seems so easy, but it isn’t at all, that’s all I feel for now,
The darkness echoing around me, whispering its secrets,
The shadows playing catch in the gloom,
And there’s a light waiting for us to catch it,
Until the moment I realize you aren’t there right now,
It’s just me for now, and I know how much you mean to me,
A different meaning, a new beginning, a vivid end,
That’s what you are, a hole waiting to materialize,
Forever or never, the options toughest to guess,
It’s a choice to make, a decision to live with,
I see your face as I close my eyes, and I know,
It’s a long road for us, stretching till infinity and beyond.

Dream Come True

Strange is the word I would precisely use,
For time, for you and me, and for us,
Everything is changing for the better,
The sun beaming from above, and so are we,
The golden rays glimmering everywhere,
And I know how bad the shadows were, dark and gloomy,
And desolate, is exactly what I don’t feel like,
With just a look beside me,
An echo of myself, or is it a shadow,
A hand to hold, a shoulder to rest on, a face to smile for,
A reason to be happy, just everything,
We started at the bottom, and we're nowhere near the top,
The journey's making it fun, and so is the prize,
All to be with is you, a look-see into what I want,
A dream come true,
I’m satisfied, I’m pleased, and I’m at the top of the world,
Rushing into this inverted waterfall, leading only to the top,
We walk into the light together,
Smiles radiating more than there is to shed light on,
It’s what we deserve; it’s what we need,
We just don’t need another reason to be.

The Long Road

The prolonged leave of absence shouldn’t end,
These times must not come to a close,
Miles away from home, still with family,
The enticing wilderness a welcome haven,
Drawing up new dreams, refining thoughts,
And a wish to fulfill in the days to come,
A plan to race on and a map to the finish,
New hands to hold and shoulders to lean on,
Old faces coming back through the haze,
Promises made and smiles shared,
Distances bridged in seconds, but we weren’t ever that far,
Closer than ever, but for how long,
The labyrinths of time lying in wait, or are they,
There’s a twinkle in our eyes, a shine on our face,
Rejuvenated or just reborn is the question,
We wait for the clock to start ticking again,
Waiting for the circle to retrace itself,
We smile our goodbyes, though not for long,
It’s not the end of the journey; it’s just the start,
The long road has just ended.
