The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

There are two sides,
To the same coin,
Three to a triangle,
We are everything,
Except the same,
From each other so different,
So vivid, so colorful,
Yet with multiple faces,
And those hues of conflict,
Interactions are unhealthy,
Except when not calm and cool,
A race running a race,
Motivated a lot by greed,
By jealousy, not pained,
By suffering, unaffected we go,
We twist, we turn, words for benefit,
That said is enough,
Meanings lack, so do morals,
Yet ethics spread the smiles,
And we make the world laugh,
With our antics, to win,
To survive, the race is funny,
An outsider will agree,
We are exquisite, one of a kind,
Designed with care, intricate,
Bathed in colors, known and unknown,
Seen and unseen, yet in life,
We are all there can exist,
The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Speak Out!

There was a man during the elections who talked about using the broom. When he ran from his position in 49 days, there was some lost hope, but for a time being. With high hopes, there came the man who is now leading the nation at a high speed towards growth, from the inside and also on the global front. It is his aim to see a #SwachhBharat, and we, the people have to contribute towards that.

Physical cleaning of garbage is one matter, and as time passes, we shall learn to keep our surroundings clean, and green. With the presence of our prime minister, there has been a facilitation of ways to keep our nation clean, and in Mumbai, I can see a visible change in the models, ideals and ways of people. But is that all there is? Is that the only way we can clean our nation? Is there no other way to cleanse the dark patches of corruption and crime?

Yes, there is. Every small drop contributes to make an ocean. As the saying goes, we need to take small steps before making the big ones, and that can happen by just speaking out.

We see those instances of corruption, crime, and even petty law breaking like spitting on roads, jumping red lights. We have excuses for it all, and I am sure we have all done it too, but is it morally right?

Even if someone else commits a wrongdoing, we do not speak out, just to stay out of the matter; we don't interfere so that our lives don't take a turn and we can continue living without any hindrance- just because it doesn't affect us.

Isn't the nation ours? Aren't we the proud citizens of this nation? And is it not our right to speak out against this folly?

We see the vermin spreading, evil winning over, but we don't speak until it involves us on a personal level; and when it comes to us, we want everyone to speak for us. That is immoral and unethical.

We must speak out loud, just as Montu has spoken. We must raise our voice against the people who need to know their mistakes; we must address the right people; we must make the authorities hear our voices, the strong voices of we, the common man.

This is what Strepsils is doing in its #AbMontuBolega campaign. This campaign promotes people to raise their voice against the evil darkness in order to lead our nation to a clean India, a #SwachhBharat.

Breaking Bad

It’s been a long time,
Since I said something,
From my heart,
Since I did something,
From my heart,
I listened to every word,
I did what was told,
It was the Bible- your words,
The silence was your prayer,
Your dreams were my aims,
Your thoughts, my future,
Realization hits sooner or later,
But it comes as the crow flies,
It comes as the sun rises,
It just doesn’t set no more,
It’s a distance I’ve come,
With myself, for you,
It’s not what I am, or was,
There’s a leaf turned over,
It’s me I guess, changed,
Bathed in colors, not mine,
Its time I chose my own,
To be what I want,
To dream, to aim, to think,
Just like I want to stay,
Survive just as my heart says,
To do not what the world says,
Not to rebel, nor to fight,
I wish to be myself from now,
I’m not stopping to be good,
I’m just breaking bad.

All I Ask

Can’t I just wish to be loved,
To be special for someone,
To be the one, so beloved,
A question I ask myself, not you,
As I wonder, and wander all night,
Chasing dreams, running behind those thoughts,
It’s the past I know, a figment,
Lost in the pigments of the present,
But its heave, a weight on my back,
I’m far as I lose track of time,
The chime returns me to my place in the dark,
My question returns, not a reel,
It’s so real, not surreal though,
I stand for the world, on the word go,
Asking for nothing, nor taking a thing,
Just trying to spread the smile,
Of love, of happiness, in life,
But is there none for me, no one,
To give that bit to me, the extra touch,
Not Midas, it’s not gold I want,
But the soft ripple, the strong touch,
A push on the back, a nudge forward,
Is there someone, to hold my hand,
To lead me when I’m misplaced,
The drop falls gleaming, unseen,
And I know I can’t ask, nor demand,
I shall know when it’s time, the answer,
But all I ask is when.

Leaders Of Love

It’s a day so special,
Too important to forget,
Written in history,
In red, in love, in togetherness,
You define unity, for me,
An example to follow,
The best role models you are,
In self, and better with each other,
You are what matters most,
Together, you smile,
For me, for yourselves,
It’s a day to remember,
To salute this strong bond,
To respect, to honor,
You, and your relationship,
Love is all there is, with the smiles,
Family is all that stands together,
The bind is all that holds,
For me, all that means you.

PS: This is dedicated to my parents as a wish for their Anniversary.
