Bring On The Madness

There is the red, there is the fear,
There is sorrow, but not a single tear,
There is confusion, yet there is peace,
Serene the sky, serene the sea choppy,
There is the darkness, in the blinding light,
There is a road ahead unseen, it’s a maze,
There is a puzzle, but there isn’t an answer,
It’s falling apart, the mind, the soul,
It’s a disaster, but there isn’t any wreckage,
I’m standing still, ready for combat,
A fight to the finish, I’m rock hard,
The darkness is getting to me,
The silence is eating through me,
Head held high, all I scream is,
Bring on the madness.

Animals

I look back at you,
I look back at me,
And I look back at us,
Stories so different, stories so weird,
Stories joining, stories mixing,
But stories never becoming one,
Sides of the same coin,
Parts of the same rock rolling,
Gathering no moss- moving,
I remember the day we met first,
And I knew what was gonna happen,
‘Cause we were both so wild, animals.

I used to smile, I used to smirk,
I used to laugh as the days passed,
So vivid myself in your grief,
Painted in the rivers of your tears,
Dancing in the music of your cries,
Till the day our paths crossed,
Till our destinies pushed each other,
Forward yet away from the other,
I remember the day that happened,
It fell from the sky, not what I’d seen,
‘Cause we were both so wild, animals.

I see you there, I see you here,
Not that I wish you were around,
Apology isn’t my desire,
Nor is a future so bright,
We did what we had to,
We reached the crossroads,
The point where we stand now,
Walked away we did momentarily,
Turned faces with tears unseen,
Smiles mingling delicately with them,
We soon returned, to now,
I remember the times it’s happened,
We haven’t ceased to be so wild,
It’s just in our nature,
‘Cause we’re just so wild, animals.

We Will Rise

Your face sparkling in thought,
Illuminated finely on the edges,
Your aura pulling me closer,
Your persona pushing me down,
Your sweet voice chirping to me,
And I just sit there with a smile,
A smile which shatters the bubble of imagination,
Wishes keep morphing but dreams never change,
You’re the latter, for me, a goddess in human form,
A princess surreal, decked in gold,
Your appearance a magnet strong,
Yet your presence making me weak,
Your sight an incentive for a day to change,
The past lining the cloud unclear,
You’re hazy in memory too,
I didn’t care enough to remember you,
It had all seemed to perfect to change.

I long for your now, so deep into the future,
Away we are in distance but not in thought,
We reign together on the other’s heart,
While knowing what the mind has to say,
Though we meet our eyes don’t do the same,
Though we meet our hands don’t do the same,
The heart still locks, i guess it never unlatched,
The smile still shines, gleaming on your face,
Sparking the light of hope in me, a lantern on a road so dark,
I wish one day, our hands clasped we say,
We will rise from the ashes into the sky.

Million Miles An Hour

There was a time to call ours,
A moment we owned together,
A wave we surfed, and a cloud that burst,
Hands clasped we ruled the world,
Build our world we did, just out of sticks,
Fragile yet steady standing tall,
Moments to cherish, memories to remember,
It just went past, a million miles an hour.

The ascent took us high; the pace took us away,
The grip of our hands strained,
The distance pulled us apart,
We walked; our heads turned, not a look back,
Hands not held, but the longing so painful,
Tears not shed, memories not burnt,
We just wished for the times to come back,
But they raced away, a million miles an hour.

The climb ceased, the vigor gone, so venerated,
So wishful I was sitting on the porch,
The moon my only companion,
In person but not in heart so dear,
You were the hole in my heart so deep,
Our dreams took us ahead with success,
Our roads turned, intersecting not moving together,
Wish we hadn’t moved ahead, a million miles an hour.

Monster

The rainbow stood out bright in the dark shadow of the clouds,
The colors so perfect and evident, just like fresh flowers,
Sparkling so far away, the pearls winking back, trickling down the sea of blue,
A flash so sudden, so terrifying, the hues disintegrating,
Beauty isn’t in perception, it’s in perfection.

There is the happy memory of hands coming together, and of smiles,
A haven of peace, a peak of satisfaction, a tsunami of reminiscent times,
A mirage of perfection created only to be wrecked in the avalanche,
The dark debris drowning the good times in the void of pain,
Happiness isn’t just an expression, it’s also an impression.

Light illuminating the figure in the center, supine on the floor,
I snarl, I roar, yet I whimper and I whine, I bark and I bite, I am dangerous,
The paws of duty cutting through the center of well being,
The canines of responsibility biting through the bone of life, of happiness,
A mirror is all I need to realize the abstract truth, to see the abyss holing me,
I’m turning into a monster and the feeling is getting stronger.
